Responsibilities

• Record and monitor manpower services, logistics, and marine transactions.
• Verify completeness and accuracy of documents, expense reports, and records.

• Coordinate with Operations on pending documents and cost concerns.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications in the system.
• Maintain ledgers, schedules, and supporting reports.
• Reconcile accounts, receivables, payables, and balances.
• Investigate discrepancies between records and reports.
• Monitor aging items and follow up on outstanding transactions.
• Support profitability analyses and financial monitoring reports.

About the role

This role is responsible for supporting the operational and financial accounting activities of the company involving manpower services, logistics operations, and marine services transactions. The role ensures accurate recording, monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting of operational and accounting transactions while supporting compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. The position also provides financial and operational coordination support to ensure efficient processing of transactions and timely availability of operational financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Record and monitor transactions related to manpower services, logistics operations, and marine or vessel activities

• Verify completeness and accuracy of operational documents, expense reports, billing instructions, and supporting records

• Monitor operational advances, reimbursements, and expense utilization

• Coordinate with Operations regarding pending documents, transaction clarifications, and operational cost concerns

• Prepare and encode journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications in the accounting system

• Maintain accounting records, ledgers, subsidiary schedules, and supporting reports

• Reconcile operational accounts, advances, receivables, payables, and related balances

• Investigate discrepancies between accounting records, operational reports, and supporting documents

• Monitor unresolved balances, aging items, and outstanding transactions requiring follow-up

• Support preparation of profitability analysis, operational cost summaries, and financial monitoring reports

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy

• At least 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in shipping, logistics, marine agency, or principal accounting

• At least 5 years of supervisory experience

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems

• Leadership and supervisory capability

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability

• Effective communication and stakeholder management

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• CPA license
