ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely completion of financial records and reports. The successful candidate will supervise accounting activities, monitor financial transactions, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide reliable financial information to support management decisions.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and taxation, preferably within the restaurant, food and beverage, hospitality, or retail industry. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to maintain effective internal controls in a fast-paced business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate recording and classification of financial transactions.

• Review and monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and cash transactions.

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, account schedules, reconciliations, and management reports.

• Ensure timely completion of bank reconciliations and investigation of discrepancies.

• Monitor cash flow, outstanding balances, expenses, and other key financial activities.

• Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, variance analysis, and cost monitoring.

• Review accounting documents and supporting records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.

• Ensure timely preparation and filing of tax returns and other statutory reports in accordance with applicable regulations.

• Coordinate with external auditors, government agencies, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders regarding accounting and financial matters.

• Establish and maintain effective accounting procedures and internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial records.

• Supervise, guide, and support accounting staff to ensure productivity, accuracy, and compliance with established deadlines.

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting efficiency, and financial controls.

• Provide management with financial analysis and relevant insights to support business planning and decision-making.

• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field.

• At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with supervisory or team leadership responsibilities.

• Experience in the Food and Beverage, restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, financial reporting, taxation, and statutory compliance.

• Familiarity with general ledger management, accounts reconciliation, budgeting, and internal control procedures.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or financial management systems.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial records.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet reporting deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.

• Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of applicable Philippine tax regulations and government reporting requirements is an advantage.
