Sta. Elena Properties, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations in Laguna, Philippines. The role leads the accounting staff, ensures timely financial reporting, and supports month-end/year-end closings under the CFO.
The ideal candidate has a CPA or eligibility and 3–5 years of accounting experience, including supervisory exposure, with knowledge of Philippine tax regulations and SAP/MS Excel proficiency.
The Accounting Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and adherence to company accounting policies and procedures. This role provides leadership and guidance to accounting staff while working closely with the Finance/Accounting Manager on process improvements, internal controls, and month-end/year-end closing activities.

Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff to ensure accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions.
Assign, monitor, and review the work of the accounting team, providing feedback and performance evaluations.
Ensure staff compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and deadlines.
Review and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Oversee general ledger entries, journal vouchers, and account reconciliations.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
Review balance sheet schedules and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Review disbursement vouchers, billing, and collection reports.
Ensure proper documentation and approval workflows are followed.
Ensure compliance with BIR regulations, statutory reporting requirements, and company policies.
Assist in the preparation of documents for external/internal audits.
Implement and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Provide variance analysis and recommendations to management.
Support cost control initiatives across departments.
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Recommend and help implement system or process enhancements.
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field required.
CPA license preferred/required (indicate based on company policy).
Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Experience in [industry, e.g., real estate/property management] is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and Philippine tax regulations (BIR compliance).
Proficient in accounting software/SAP systems and MS Excel.
Strong leadership, organizational, and people-management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Standard office hours, (7:00AM TO 5:00 PM, MON-FRI) with occasional overtime during month-end/year-end closing periods
