Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present monthly financial reports for strata corporations, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment allocation, and account reconciliations.
Administer trust accounts in compliance with applicable strata legislation and internal policies.
Develop and maintain annual budgets, financial statements, and supporting financial schedules.
Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and addressing audit-related inquiries.
Serve as the primary point of contact for property managers and clients regarding financial matters and account-related concerns.
Maintain and update accounting records, including general ledgers, journals, and other financial documentation.
Generate levy notices, monitor collections, follow up on overdue accounts, and maintain accurate arrears records.
Perform regular bank and account reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
Ensure financial records are accurate, up to date, and compliant with relevant accounting standards and organizational procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 1–2 years of experience in Australian accounting, strata accounting, property accounting, or a similar accounting role.
Experience with Australian taxation, BAS preparation, payroll processing, and wage calculations is a plus
Knowledge of trust accounting and Australian strata legislation is an advantage.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Strata Master, StrataMax, MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks.
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
