Jatro BPO is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting associate to manage the financial operations of Australian strata properties. The role requires experience with Australian accounting practices, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–2 years experience in Australian strata accounting or similar role.
• Experience with Australian taxation, BAS, payroll processing, and wage calculations.
• Knowledge of trust accounting and Australian strata legislation advantageous.
• Proficient in Strata Master, StrataMax, MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports for strata corporations.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations.
• Maintain and reconcile trust accounts per Australian strata regulations.
• Prepare budgets, financial statements, and schedules.
• Assist with audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Respond to financial queries from managers and clients.
• Maintain general ledgers and accounting records.
• Process levy notices, monitor collections, and follow up on balances.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and internal controls.
• Assist with payroll processing, BAS preparation, and related taxation tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly financial reports for strata corporations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including account reconciliations.
• Maintain and reconcile trust accounts in accordance with Australian strata regulations.
• Prepare annual budgets, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors.
• Respond to financial queries from property managers, committees, and clients.
• Maintain general ledgers, journals, and other accounting records.
• Process levy notices, monitor collections, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and internal financial controls.
• Assist with Australian payroll processing, wage calculations, BAS preparation, and other taxation-related tasks, as required.

Qualifications
