Sotogrande Hotel & Resorts is seeking an Accounting Staff to support day-to-day finance operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records. The role involves processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end close at the Sotogrande Cebu Hotel in Lapu Lapu, Cebu.

Open to fresh graduates or candidates with 1–2 years in accounting, with strong Excel skills, meticulous attention to detail, and integrity when handling confidential data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accountancy or related field.
• Fresh graduates or 1–2 years accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential financial data.

Responsabilités

• Record and monitor financial transactions and organize invoices, receipts, and source documents.
• Process vendor bills, customer billings, cash applications, and collections.
• Verify and reconcile bank statements and general ledger balances.
• Assist in drafting monthly/quarterly financial summaries and balance sheets.
• Compile payroll data and track petty cash and expenses.
• Support audits by gathering documentation and schedules.

About the role

Accounting Staff plays a vital role in day-to-day finance operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting month-end closing processes, and maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record and monitor financial transactions, prepare and organize invoices, receipts, and source documents
• Monitor and process vendor bills, customer billings, cash applications, and collections
• Verify and reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger balances
• Assist senior accountants or management in drafting monthly/quarterly financial summaries and balance sheets
• Help compile payroll data, employee reimbursements, and track petty cash or company expenses
• Gather documentation, schedules, and receipts for internal and external audits

About you

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or a related business course
• Open to fresh graduates or candidates with 1 to 2 years of general accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, spreadsheets)
• Strong attention to detail, high level of organization, time management, and integrity in handling confidential financial data
• Willing to relocate from other hotel property
