John Clements Consultants, Inc. seeks a reliable Accounting / Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting for clients, maintaining accurate records and monitoring revenues and expenses in a hospitality-focused setting.
The role involves AP/AR, bank reconciliations, payroll assistance, monthly closings, and cross-department coordination to ensure precise transaction recording and compliant financial reporting.
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting / Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities of our clients' operations. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring daily revenues and expenses, handling accounts payable and receivable, and supporting the preparation of financial reports.
Record and maintain accurate daily financial transactions and bookkeeping entries.
Monitor and reconcile daily hotel and apartelle revenues, including room charges, cash, bank transactions, and other collections.
Prepare and maintain records for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
Monitor collections, outstanding balances, and supplier payments.
Perform regular bank, cash, and sales reconciliations.
Review and verify invoices, receipts, purchase orders, and other financial documents.
Monitor petty cash and operational expenses.
Prepare basic accounting reports and financial summaries for management.
Assist in monthly closing and financial reporting.
Coordinate with front office, reservations, purchasing, and other departments to ensure proper recording of transactions.
Assist with payroll preparation and other employee-related accounting matters, as needed.
Maintain organized and updated accounting records and supporting documents.
Assist with tax-related documentation and compliance requirements.
Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of financial information.
Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least 1–2 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience.
Experience in hotel, hospitality, property management, or other service-related businesses is an advantage.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping, AP/AR, and bank reconciliation.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and accounting or bookkeeping software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Able to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
Good communication and coordination skills.
