Job summary

Sotogrande Hotel & Resorts is seeking an Accounting Staff to support day-to-day finance operations at Arterra Hotel & Resorts Inc. in Angasil Road, Lapu Lapu Cebu. You will help ensure accuracy of financial records and assist in month-end closing and audits.

Ideal candidates have a BS Accountancy or related degree, and 0–2 years of accounting experience, with strong Excel skills and high attention to detail. This role offers opportunities in a hospitality environment within Cebu.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or related business course.
• Fresh graduates or 1–2 years general accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality in financial data.

Responsibilities

• Record and monitor transactions, prepare invoices and source documents.
• Process vendor bills, customer billings, cash applications, and collections.
• Verify and reconcile bank statements and GL balances.
• Assist in monthly/quarterly summaries and balance sheets.
• Compile payroll data and track petty cash/expenses.
• Gather documents for internal and external audits.

About the role

Accounting Staff plays a vital role in day-to-day finance operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting month-end closing processes, and maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record and monitor financial transactions, prepare and organize invoices, receipts, and source documents
• Monitor and process vendor bills, customer billings, cash applications, and collections
• Verify and reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger balances
• Assist senior accountants or management in drafting monthly/quarterly financial summaries and balance sheets
• Help compile payroll data, employee reimbursements, and track petty cash or company expenses
• Gather documentation, schedules, and receipts for internal and external audits

About you

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or a related business course
• Open to fresh graduates or candidates with 1 to 2 years of general accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, spreadsheets)
• Strong attention to detail, high level of organization, time management, and integrity in handling confidential financial data
