Job summary

SEKISUI JUSHI PHILIPPINES INC. is seeking an Accounting Staff to join the finance team at our Calamba City, Laguna facility.

This full-time role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, contributing to the company’s financial health. You will handle transactions, reconciliations, invoicing, and assist with month-end closing, bank reconciliations, and audits while supporting accounts payable and receivable and maintaining organized

Qualifications

• Secondary or tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or related field.
• Proven experience as Accounting Staff or Accounts Clerk.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Good organisational and time management skills with multi-tasking ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Reliability and confidentiality in handling financial information.
• Payroll processing and tax compliance knowledge is advantageous.
• Familiarity with manufacturing accounting environments preferred.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Staff to join our finance team at our facility in Calamba City, Laguna. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. As Accounting Staff, you will provide essential support to our accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and contributing to the financial health of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Recording and entering financial transactions into the accounting system with accuracy and attention to detail
• Reconciling accounts and identifying discrepancies to ensure financial records are complete and accurate
• Preparing and processing invoices, expense reports and payment vouchers
• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Maintaining proper documentation and filing systems for all financial records
• Supporting the preparation of financial statements and month-end closing procedures
• Conducting routine audits of financial transactions and supporting audit activities
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash management activities
• Responding to enquiries regarding financial records and transactions
• Supporting the accounting team with ad-hoc duties as required

What we're looking for

• A secondary or tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or a related field
• Proven experience working as an Accounting Staff or Accounts Clerk in a similar role
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong mathematical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail
• Competent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Reliability and a professional approach to confidential financial information
• Knowledge of payroll processing and tax compliance is advantageous
• Familiarity with manufacturing or industrial accounting environments would be beneficial
