MAVI places experienced finance professionals into senior roles with high ownership for US-based companies. This fully remote Accounting Manager will lead the close, oversee accounting operations from the Philippines, and partner with US leadership to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting.
You will set close calendars, review outputs, and build robust controls for scalable processes, working with limited oversight and strong English communication.
MAVI places experienced finance and accounting professionals into senior, high-ownership roles at high-growth US companies.
We maintain a deliberately high bar on both sides of the placement. The companies we partner with are venture-backed and private equity-backed businesses building modern finance organizations, and the professionals we represent are operators with a track record of owning the numbers rather than supporting them from a distance.
The roles we place are embedded positions within the finance function itself. Our professionals work alongside founders, CEOs, and senior leadership on the work that determines whether a business can close its books with confidence, satisfy its auditors, raise its next round, and scale.
Our team has built and scaled finance functions at companies including Lyft, Ramp, and SoftBank. We remain closely involved throughout the relationship, from role alignment and interview preparation through onboarding, placement, and long-term career development.
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the close, the accounting team, and day-to-day accounting operations of a high-growth US company, working remotely from Philippines.
You will be accountable for the quality, completeness, and timeliness of what the accounting team produces, not only for the work you prepare yourself. That means setting the close calendar, assigning ownership, reviewing outputs, and resolving issues before they reach a reporting deadline.
You will work directly with the Controller, CFO, or founders, presenting close results, material variances, and open risks. Where the close depends on last‑minute escalation or review standards vary from month to month, you will build the playbooks and controls that make it predictable.
Because you will be leading a team from outside the United States, the role calls for someone who operates with limited oversight, communicates proactively, and makes sound decisions with incomplete information.
This role suits an accounting professional who has moved beyond preparing the work and wants to own its quality.
You raise the standard of the people around you without creating unnecessary bureaucracy. You make a call when the information is incomplete, and when you exp... you arrive with a recommendation rather than only a problem.
This is a fully remote role. You will work directly with US-based leadership, auditors, and external partners, and you will be placed with a single client company for the duration of the engagement rather than rotated across accounts.
Full-time roles require a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time (ET). Part-time roles require a minimum of 2 hours. The rest of your schedule is arranged around your local working day.
