Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification is highly preferred.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with supervisory or managerial exposure.
• Healthcare/hospital exposure is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and audits.
• Experience with billing, collections, AR, and revenue reconciliation is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of Philippine accounting/regulatory requirements.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day hospital accounting operations including General Ledger, AP, AR, Billing, and related functions.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes for accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor revenues, expenses, collections, and overall financial performance.
• Review patient billing, hospital collections, receivables, and outstanding accounts.

Accounting Manager – Hospital Industry

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the hospital's accounting and financial operations. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, regulatory compliance, budgeting, cash management, and timely month-end and year-end closing.

The ideal candidate should have strong accounting leadership experience, preferably with healthcare or hospital industry exposure, and a solid understanding of the unique financial and operational requirements of a healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the hospital, including General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and related functions.

• Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

• Manage the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of financial reports.

• Monitor hospital revenues, expenses, collections, and overall financial performance.

• Review and analyze patient billing, hospital collections, receivables, and outstanding accounts.

• Coordinate with Billing, Treasury, Purchasing, Pharmacy, Nursing, Operations, and other hospital departments regarding financial matters.

• Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.

• Conduct budget-versus-actual analysis and provide recommendations to management.

• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.

• Ensure compliance with applicable BIR, SEC, DOLE, and other government/regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate with external auditors, internal auditors, banks, and government agencies as required.

• Monitor cash flow, bank transactions, reconciliations, and other treasury-related activities.

• Review hospital-related expenses, procurement transactions, and payment requests to ensure proper documentation and authorization.

• Ensure proper recording and monitoring of fixed assets, inventories, medical supplies, and other hospital resources.

• Assist management in financial planning, cost control, and initiatives designed to improve hospital profitability and operational efficiency.

• Identify accounting process gaps and implement improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

• Lead, coach, and develop the Accounting team.

• Prepare financial analysis and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.

• Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and accuracy of all financial records and information.

• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• CPA is highly preferred.

• At least 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with supervisory or managerial experience.

• Healthcare, hospital, clinic, medical, or healthcare services experience is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general accounting, taxation, budgeting, internal controls, and audit.

• Experience handling billing, collections, accounts receivable, and revenue reconciliation is an advantage.

• Strong understanding of Philippine accounting and regulatory requirements.

• Experience with accounting systems or ERP platforms.

• Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
