The Accounting Senior Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership over the hospital’s accounting and financial reporting functions. The role will oversee the general accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, revenue and expense monitoring, internal controls, audit, and regulatory compliance, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of financial information.
The ideal candidate should have strong leadership experience in accounting and proven hospital/healthcare accounting experience, with the ability to manage accounting teams, improve financial processes, and partner effectively with hospital leadership and various departments.
Lead and oversee the hospital’s day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting activities.
Manage and supervise the Accounting team, providing direction, coaching, performance management, and professional development.
Oversee General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Inventory, and Revenue Accounting.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, adjustments, and financial schedules.
Oversee the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements and management reports.
Monitor and analyze hospital revenues, patient accounts, collections, expenses, and financial performance.
Ensure proper accounting and reconciliation of patient billing, HMO/insurance transactions, hospital services, pharmacy, laboratory, and other healthcare-related revenues.
Review financial results and provide management with meaningful financial analysis, variance analysis, and recommendations.
Lead the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
Establish and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
Ensure compliance with applicable Philippine accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and hospital policies.
Serve as a key finance partner to Hospital Administration, Billing, Treasury, Purchasing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Nursing, and other departments.
Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely submission of required schedules and supporting documents.
Identify financial risks, discrepancies, and control gaps and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Drive improvements in accounting systems, processes, automation, reporting, and financial controls.
Work closely with senior management to support financial planning and strategic business decisions.
Prepare and present financial reports and recommendations to hospital executives and senior leadership.
Perform other finance and accounting responsibilities as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA license is highly preferred, but not required.
At least 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with significant managerial or supervisory experience.
Strong hospital or healthcare accounting experience is required.
Proven experience managing an accounting team and overseeing multiple accounting functions.
Strong knowledge of General Accounting, General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Revenue Accounting, AP/AR, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, and Month-End Closing.
Solid understanding of hospital revenue cycles, patient billing, HMO/insurance transactions, and healthcare-related financial operations.
Strong knowledge of Philippine Accounting Standards and tax/regulatory requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
Excellent analytical, financial reporting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
High level of integrity, accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
Amenable to work onsite in Parañaque
