Job summary

Hunt St Pty Ltd seeks an Accounting Manager in Manila to lead offshore production for an Australian client. You will oversee scheduling, quality control, and advisory support with hands-on SMSF exposure and cross-functional collaboration across tax and reporting.

This role is hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 work-from-home) after onboarding. Requirements include 5+ years in Australian accounting, CPA/CA (Philippine CPA acceptable), and strong English.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Australian accounting, including team delivery/production management
• CPA, CA or Philippine CPA acceptable
• Hands-on Australian tax and compliance experience in an Australian practice or offshore team
• Deep knowledge of company, trust and partnership tax returns; BAS, GST, PAYG, STP, FBT, payroll tax
• SMSF exposure: fund annual returns, statements, TBAR, audits

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end production for offshore delivery team: scheduling, workflow, capacity, WIP, quality control
• Review team outputs and act as escalation point for Australia compliance suite
• Manage SLAs and turnaround targets; drive throughput
• Review management reports and financial models, not just compliance files
• Leverage AI to optimize preparation time and build AI-driven workflows
