Job summary

We Connect HR Solutions OPC in the Philippines seeks a seasoned accountant to manage the full accounting cycle, including payroll reconciliation and bank reconciliations, adhering to PAS.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA license and has 5+ years of construction accounting experience, with strong job costing, progress billing, and retainage expertise, plus PAS and tax compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow) per PAS.
• Maintain detailed job cost records, track project expenses vs budgets, analyze profitability.
• Assist in development of budgets and forecasts, monitor performance against benchmarks.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and coordinate with external auditors.
• Identify opportunities to streamline procedures and leverage accounting software for efficiency.
• Oversee vendor payments and timely collection of receivables.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS).

• Maintain detailed job cost records, track project expenses against budgets, and analyze project profitability.

• Assist in the development of company budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against these benchmarks.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations (e.g., BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and prepare necessary tax filings. Coordinate with external auditors as needed.

• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures, implement best practices, and leverage accounting software to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in the Philippines is required.

• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience specifically within the construction industry.

• Strong knowledge of job costing, progress billing, and retainage practices common in construction.

• Excellent understanding of Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS) and relevant tax laws.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines independently.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and implement solutions.
