Job summary

LEIGHTON ASIA PHILIPPINES INC. in Makati City is seeking an experienced Finance professional to lead accounting and financial reporting functions.

You will prepare and review monthly to annual reports, drive budgeting and forecasting, and ensure accurate cost management for projects. The role requires a CPA or equivalent, a degree in Accounting/Finance, and at least five years in accounting or commercial finance, preferably with exposure to construction or property sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• CPA or CIMA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting or commercial finance.
• Experience in construction, engineering, or property industry is an advantage.
• Advanced Excel skills, with Power Query and data transformation experience.
• Experience using ERP and financial reporting systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis with management commentary.
• Manage general accounting activities including accruals, reclassifications, and ledger accuracy.
• Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Ensure accurate cost management for labor, overhead, and project costs.
• Support project and tender financials, including cost recovery and cash flow optimization.
• Collaborate with project controls and operations on financial setup and ongoing management.
• Provide support on tax matters and statutory reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a trusted finance business partner to non-finance stakeholders.
