About the role

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting and financial operations of a restaurant business. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring daily sales and cash collections, controlling food and operating costs, overseeing inventory accounting, managing accounts payable and receivable, coordinating payroll, ensuring tax compliance, and preparing financial reports for management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, and operating expenses.
• Review and reconcile daily restaurant sales from POS, cash, credit/debit cards, e-wallets, and other payment channels.
• Investigate and resolve sales, cash, and collection discrepancies.
• Monitor cash handling, deposits, petty cash, and cashier reports.
• Monitor food cost, COGS, gross margins, and operating expenses.
• Oversee inventory accounting, including receiving, stock issuances, wastage, spoilage, and inventory variances.
• Conduct and/or supervise regular physical inventory counts and reconciliation.
• Review payroll computations and employee-related expenses.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in restaurant, food service, hospitality, or retail accounting is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
• Experience with POS systems and sales reconciliation is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
