Job summary

Supersam is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead daily accounting operations in our Manila-area finance team. You will manage financial data, produce accurate statements, and enforce sound accounting principles.

You will mentor staff, oversee AP/AR, GL, payroll, and reconciliations, and collaborate with auditors and tax consultants to ensure regulatory compliance while driving data-driven improvements across the finance function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA credential is a plus.
• 5+ years total accounting experience, with at least 2 years as Accounting/Finance Manager.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, complex formulas).
• Experience with ERP/accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Xero) and databases.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting standards, laws, and financial regulations.
• Ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets under tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Department Operations & Leadership

• Manage, mentor, and oversee the daily operations of the accounting team (accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and reconciliations).

• Direct staff workflow, establish team goals, and foster professional development.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Monitor, analyze, and consolidate accounting data to produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and deliver clear reporting packages to senior management.

Compliance, Controls & Audits

• Establish, enforce, and continuously refine accounting methods, internal controls, and corporate policies.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth audit processes.

Data & Systems Management:

• Leverage accounting software and databases to streamline financial reporting and manipulate large datasets efficiently.

• Identify opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency within the finance department.
  

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor's degree (BS) in Accounting or Finance.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is a plus.

• 5+ years of total accounting experience, with at least 2 years of proven track record as an Accounting or Finance Manager.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, complex formulas) and MS Office suite.

• Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Xero) and relational databases.

• In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting standards, laws, and financial regulations.

• Demonstrated ability to clean, analyze, and manipulate large volumes of financial data accurately under tight deadlines.

• High level of precision, ethical integrity, and exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong leadership and team-building skills with a track record of guiding direct reports.
