Job summary

Jatro BPO in the Philippines is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting associate to manage financial operations for Australian strata properties on-site in San Fernando, Pampanga.

The role requires accuracy, knowledge of Australian accounting practices, and the ability to coordinate with auditors and property managers to deliver timely reports and compliant financial statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in Australian strata accounting, property accounting, or a similar accounting role.
• Experience with Australian taxation, BAS preparation, payroll processing, and wage calculations.
• Knowledge of trust accounting and Australian strata legislation is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Strata Master, StrataMax, MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports for strata corporations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including account reconciliations.
• Maintain and reconcile trust accounts in accordance with Australian strata regulations.
• Prepare annual budgets, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors.
• Respond to financial queries from property managers, committees, and clients.
• Maintain general ledgers, journals, and other accounting records.
• Process levy notices, monitor collections, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and internal financial controls.
• Assist with Australian payroll processing, BAS preparation, and other taxation-related tasks, as required.
