Job summary

IKEA Philippines in Cebu City seeks a finance professional to manage daily store finance operations, including reconciliations, cash handling, billing, and tax documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

You will support audits, fixed assets, month-end entries, and reporting to tax authorities, collaborating with store teams to uphold control standards and timely processes.

Qualifications

• Understanding of store finance operations including receivables, payables, billing and cash handling.
• Knowledgeable in financial transaction processes, reconciliations and basic financial reporting.
• Familiar with internal controls, compliance requirements and financial documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily sales reconciliation, investigate variances and follow up on discrepancies.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of all cash transactions and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and issue billing invoices and monitor collections for timely payments.
• Process manual store refunds with banks as requested by Exchange and Return department.
• Ensure store invoices and petty cash claims are processed accurately and timely with proper withholding taxes.
• Support fixed assets management activities, including budget tracking and physical inspection.
• Ensure month-end journal entries (accruals, amortization, inventory adjustments) are recorded timely.
• Provide support for accounting and financial activities including audits as required.
• Maintain and safeguard accounting records, manage tax documentation and submit sales reports.

Job Description

• Ensure timely and accurate recording of all cash transactions and completion of bank reconciliations
• Prepare and issue of billing invoices and monitor collections to ensure timely payments from customers/partners
• Process manual store refunds with banks as requested by Exchange and Return department
• Ensure store invoices and petty cash claims are processed accurately and timely, with proper application of applicable withholding taxes.
• Support fixed assets management activities, including budget tracking and periodic physical inspection
• Ensure all month-end journal entries (e.g., accruals, amortization, inventory adjustments) related to store operation are recorded timely
• Provide support for accounting and financial related activities including internal and external audits, as required
• Maintain and safeguard accounting records, manage tax documentation and submit sales reports to tax authorities
• Support the store operations in monitoring and complying with store operating process as well as legal and statutory requirements

Qualifications

• You have an understanding of store finance operations, including receivables, payables, billing, and cash handling.
• You are knowledgeable in financial transaction processes, reconciliations, and basic financial reporting.
• You have a basic understanding of internal controls, compliance requirements, and financial documentation standards.
• You are familiar with finance systems and tools, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• You understand store operations and how finance functions support overall business activities.
• You are aware of local regulatory requirements and corporate documentation standards.
