The Qualifications We Seek
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a strong academic background
- More than 3 years of business accounting experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credential
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in web-based accounting software and business platforms
- Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with colleagues, clients, and service providers
Your Daily Tasks
- Own the reconciliation process for CAM buildings and property portfolios
- Collect financial information and prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports
- Review monthly financial statements for assigned CAM buildings and portfolios
- Manage financial reporting for assigned customer portfolios, including community condominium and homeowners' associations, reconciliations, and monthly reporting packages
- Collaborate with the Chicago-based accounting team to reconcile and report CAM and corporate accounts
- Prepare payments by verifying supporting documentation and processing disbursement requests
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Assist with the onboarding of newly acquired community associations
- Respond to accounting procedure inquiries from internal stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous process improvements across accounting and operational functions
