Job summary

Ding Feng (Philippines) Construction Development Corp. in Santo Tomas City, Batangas, seeks a General Accountant (CPA/Non-CPA) to join our finance team. The role covers general accounting, payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting across operations to support strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Accountancy (CPA preferred; non-CPA considered), 2–3 years of experience, solid PFRS/tax knowledge, and strong Excel and accounting software skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred; non-CPA candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
• 2–3 years of experience in general or financial accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards (PFRS) and tax regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; construction-industry accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per PFRS and applicable principles.
• Process A/P and A/R, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, deferrals, and adjustments.
• Support preparation of financial reports and schedules for management and external stakeholders.
• Manage payroll accounting records and ensure tax/regulatory compliance.
• Assist in audit activities by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Monitor fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with tax filing requirements and support tax activities.

About the role

We are seeking a General Accountant (CPA/Non-CPA) to join our finance team on a full-time basis in Santo Tomas City, Batangas. This role is essential to maintaining the financial health and compliance of our construction and development operations. As General Accountant, you will be responsible for managing diverse accounting functions that directly support the company's strategic objectives and ensure accurate financial reporting across all business operations.

Key responsibilities

1. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions
2. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and applicable accounting principles
3. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice verification, payment processing, and collection follow-ups
4. Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
5. Prepare journal entries for various accounting transactions, including accruals, deferrals, and adjustments
6. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules for management and external stakeholders
7. Manage payroll accounting records and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements
8. Support audit activities by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
9. Monitor and reconcile fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
10. Ensure compliance with tax filing requirements and support tax compliance activities
11. Collaborate with other departments to obtain financial information and clarify accounting entries
12. Maintain organised and accurate financial records and documentation

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
2. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification preferred; however, non-CPA candidates with relevant accounting experience will be considered
3. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting, financial accounting, or related accounting roles
4. Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards (PFRS) and tax regulations
5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with construction industry accounting systems is advantageous
6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data entry
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
9. Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
10. Understanding of internal controls and risk management principles
11. Familiarity with construction accounting practices is highly desirable
