Overview
Accountant is responsible for assisting in the daily accounting operations of the organization. This role involves processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. The Accounting Associate ensures compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations, while contributing to the smooth operation of the finance department.
Responsibilities
- Record financial transactions and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Monitor and track expenses to ensure they align with budgetary constraints.
- Assist with audits and respond to auditor inquiries as needed.
- Provide support for tax filing and regulatory compliance.
- Help with the preparation and analysis of financial data to support decision-making.
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
- Preferably with at least 2 years of working experience in the Accounting function in an automotive industry.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PPT)
- Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Must be keen on details and highly analytical
- Can start immediately.
