Hawksford seeks an experienced accounting and payroll professional to support Singapore clients from the Philippines. The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and strong client service in delivering financial statements, payroll, tax compliance and regulatory reporting.
You will prepare financial statements under SFRS, manage monthly/quarterly/yearly bookkeeping, perform reconciliations, and assist with audits while maintaining high standards of compliance.
To support the delivery of accounting, payroll, tax, and compliance services for Singapore clients while maintaining high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and client service.
Prepare full sets of financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), under senior review.
Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping for Singapore entities.
Month-end and year-end closing activities.
Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, and basic variance analysis.
Prepare Monthly and Annual Management Accounts, including:
Prepare management accounts and posting adjustment entries as instructed.
Prepare XBRL filings for review and submission.
Assist preparation of consolidated management accounts and financial statements.
Accounting for investment holding companies.
Dividend calculations and supporting schedules.
Prepare interest amortization schedules for long-term loans.
Accounting for FRS 116 (Leases).
Process supplier payments through banking platforms.
Assist with statutory audits and provide supporting documentation.
Prepare withholding tax filings and supporting schedules for review.
Prepare and submit GST returns, including reconciliations and compliance checks.
Support compliance with statutory requirements, including:
Assist with audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to audit queries.
Support OED submissions and other statutory filings.
Process Singapore payroll accurately and on time under established procedures.
Prepare payroll reconciliations and statutory schedules.
Prepare annual employee tax filings, including:
Support Senior Accountants in managing assigned Singapore clients.
Participate in client calls and discussions when required.
Communicate accounting, payroll, and tax matters clearly and professionally.
Liaise with:
Escalate issues, risks, and discrepancies to seniors or managers in a timely manner.
Ensure deadlines and service standards are met.
Ensure work performed complies with firm policies and Singapore regulatory standards.
Follow internal checklists, templates, and standard operating procedures.
Identify process improvement opportunities and raise suggestions to seniors.
Support knowledge sharing and on-the-job learning within the team.
