Job description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Account Executive, based in Pasig with some work-from-home flexibility. The Account Executive is responsible for managing and servicing non-life insurance accounts, including Fire, Motor, CARI, CGL, and other insurance lines, for both corporate and retail clients.
The role involves building and maintaining strong client relationships, assessing client risk exposures, and providing appropriate insurance solutions based on their needs. The Account Executive will also coordinate with insurance brokers, insurers, and other business partners to facilitate quotations, policy placement, renewals, endorsements, and other account-related requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship and Account Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their insurance requirements, providing appropriate advice, and serving as the primary contact for all account-related matters. Manage policy negotiations, placements, renewals, amendments, billing, premium collection, and claims assistance while keeping clients informed of relevant updates.
- Insurance Placement and Policy Servicing: Coordinate with insurers, and other insurance partners to arrange appropriate coverage, obtain competitive terms and quotations, facilitate policy documentation and agreements, and ensure timely processing of renewals, endorsements, and other policy requirements.
- Risk Assessment and Insurance Solutions: Review and analyze clients' risk exposures and recommend suitable insurance solutions based on their requirements, utilizing the products and services available through Unicons Insurance Partners Network.
- Business Development and Account Growth: Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and develop new business through client engagement, market initiatives, and risk management solutions that address evolving client needs.
- Internal Coordination and Client Support: Collaborate with underwriting, claims, risk management, and other internal teams to ensure the efficient delivery of insurance solutions and seamless handling of client requirements.
- Compliance and Documentation: Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date client records and account documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Account Administration and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive account files, including correspondence, proposals, Terms of Reference (TOR), policy documents, proof of remittance, sales invoices, official receipts, and delivery records. Monitor bookings, prepare renewal advice letters and Certificates of Insurance (COIs) within the required turnaround time, and develop reports, presentations, and other client-related documents as needed.
Qualifications
- A graduate of any 4-year course but with preference in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years work experience in insurance sales or account management, preferably within the brokerage industry.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, risk management principles, and industry regulations.
- Preferrably with Basic Non-Life Certification from either the Insurance Commission (IC) or Insurance Institute for Asia and the Pacific (IIAP).
