Job summary

The Medical City Ortigas is seeking an experienced Account Associate (Billing) to join the Billing section under the Account Management Department. The role focuses on preparing patient statement of accounts for discharge, processing Philhealth endorsements, and handling HMO/Company statements for endorsement to the Collection Department.

Responsibilities

• Check all pertinent information in Patient's data sheet.
• Process billing accounts within turnaround time.
• Provide timely and accurate billing statements and requests via email.
• Respond to email requests courteously and promptly.
• Resolve billing inquiries professionally and on time.
• Coordinate with units, departments, doctors, and internal customers to complete billing requirements.
• Compute discounts and limitations for HMO/Company accounts per authorization letters.
• Inform patients of Philhealth requirements for timely submission and endorsement.

Job description

The Medical City Ortigas is searching for an experienced Account Associate (Billing) to join the team and help lead the organization to the next level. This role is responsible for preparing the statement of accounts of patients for hospital discharge, ensuring the completion of required documents, accurate computation, deduction of Philhealth benefits and timely endorsement of Philhealth claims to Collection Department. Also responsible for preparing the statement of account of Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), Companies, stockholders, and individuals for endorsement to Collection Department.

This role reports directly to the Immediate Supervisor of Billing section under Account Management Department.

What’s The Role All About?

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Checking accurately all pertinent information in Patient's data sheet

• Processing all billing accounts within turnaround time

• Providing timely and accurate billing / statement of accounts

• Responding timely and accurately on email requests

• Addressing courteously and politely in all billing inquiries and concerns

• Providing on time resolutions to complaints

• Coordinates with units, departments, doctors, and other internal customers to complete the billing requirements of patients

• Provides and ensures the accurate computation of discounts and limitations of HMO/Company accounts based on the Letter of Authorization in the preparation of Statement of Account

• Ensures that patients are informed of the Philhealth requirements for timely submission of complete documents, and for timely endorsement to Collection departments, to secure processing of Philhealth discounts
