Job summary

Hirsch Bedner Associates in Seoul seeks a Senior Interior Designer to lead hospitality design projects from concept through completion. You will drive creative and technical excellence, work with clients and cross-functional teams, and shape guest experiences across hotels, resorts, and luxury venues.

The role requires a strong portfolio in luxury hospitality, fluent English, and Korean language proficiency is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Valid right to work in South Korea (Korean citizenship, permanent residency, or appropriate work visa).
• 8–15 years of professional experience with a portfolio demonstrating hospitality project experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the design process from concept to completion.
• Report to the Interior Design Director and lead projects with minimum supervision.
• Develop mood boards, sketches, and design proposals to convey ideas clearly.
• Collaborate with design team on detailed development and space planning.
• Build and maintain client relationships and ensure design solutions meet client needs.
• Coordinate with FF&E designers to select materials, finishes, and furnishings within budget.
• Own projects as design lead, coordinating deliverables, timelines, and resources.
• Coordinate with consultants to maintain design intent through documentation and construction.
• Participate in site visits, design reviews, and project meetings to ensure high quality.

Job Summary:

As aSenior Interior Designerspecializing in hospitality design, you will lead and oversee the design process from concept through completion. Yourexpertiseand passion for creating captivating, functional, and inviting spaces will be instrumental in shaping the guest experience within hotels, resorts, restaurants, and other hospitality venues. You will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to bring your design visions to life, ensuring exceptional quality and creativity in every project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume a project lead role in design.

• Reporting to the Interior Design Director, you would lead projects with minimum supervision. This includes conceptualization and development of interior design concepts that align with the client's vision and project goals.

• Develop mood boards, sketches, and design proposals toconvey your ideas effectively.

• Collaborate with the design team to bring concepts to life through detailed design development and space planning.

• Build andmaintainstrong client relationships by understanding their needs and ensuring that design solutions meet and exceed their expectations.

• Work with FF&E Designers to selectappropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings that align with the design concept and budget.

• Take ownership of selected projects as the design lead, coordinating project deliverables, timelines, and design resources to ensure successful execution.

• Coordinate with consultants and project teams to ensure design intent is maintained throughout documentation, construction, and installation phases.

• Participate in site visits, design reviews, and project meetings to monitor progress and ensure the highest standards of design quality.

• Stay informed of emerging hospitality, lifestyle, and luxury design trends, materials, technologies, and sustainable design practices.

Below are the minimum qualifications that we expect from you:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline

• Valid right to work in South Korea (Korean citizenship, permanent residency, or appropriate work visa).

• 8 - 15 years of professional experience, with a portfolio demonstrating hospitality project experience (luxury hospitality, resorts high-end residential, clubhouse, F&B, wellness (Candidates with less experience may be considered for Interior Designer positions)

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suites, and Microsoft PowerPoint

• Experience with Revit, 3ds Max, D5, and Enscape is advantageous

• Hands on experience in incorporate AI in design would be a definite advantage

• Fluent in English; Korean language proficiency is highly desirable
