Recoolit is a climate tech startup seeking a hands-on operations leader to drive end-to-end logistics, inventory control, and equipment management in Indonesia. You will recruit and lead a growing team, oversee maintenance, and implement safety programs across multiple depots and a central warehouse.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in logistics or related fields, 3+ years in leadership, and strong English and Indonesian communication.

The Organisation

Recoolit is an American climate tech startup on a mission to prevent 1 billion tCO2e of greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Since launching operations in Indonesia in 2021, Recoolit has prevented over 30,000 tCO2e of emissions and secured a multi-year contract to sell carbon credits to Google.

Recoolit’s fully traceable carbon credit platform targets ‘super pollutants’ refrigerant, gases used in air conditioning and refrigeration that are thousands of times more potent than CO2 when released into the atmosphere. Recoolit partners with Indonesia's largest companies to capture and properly dispose of these gases and is backed by veteran Silicon Valley investors.

The Role

Reporting to the COO, you will lead all of Recoolit's operations within Indonesia, under its subsidiary PT Recoolit Bumi Lestari. The organization is growing rapidly and this role helps scale the five-person physical operations team, including logistics: procuring and maintaining a fleet of refrigerant-recovery equipment, dispatching it on-demand to partner sites, training partners and supporting their refrigerant operations, and operating a central warehouse plus regional depots where refrigerant gas is stored and handled.

What you will do:

• Own operations end-to-end including: equipment availability, maintenance, and inventory.
• Recruit and lead a growing multifunctional logistics team including technical operations.
• Lead Recoolit's HSE program, promoting and implementing a culture of safety.
• Drive operational excellence, technical best practice, and team KPIs.

Skills Required

Recoolit needs a hands-on leader with at least 7+ years of experience in logistics, field operations, warehousing, or supply-chain operations, including 3+ years managing a multidisciplinary team. You should be comfortable working in a digital-first environment, where rigorous tracking, data quality, and consistent process are the keys to success. You thrive in a dynamic start up culture and you align with Recoolit’s values: you are constantly learning, operate with transparency, take ownership, act as part of a team, and you are motivated by climate impact. Related industry (e.g. carbon markets, HVAC, real estate), products and a technical background are a strong plus, but not essential.

You will also offer:

• Strong analytical, and decision-making skills, the ability to solve complex problems.
• High learning agility, capacity to master unfamiliar domains and establish effective processes.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in English and Indonesian.
