BYD & Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility is seeking a General Repair Technician in the UAE to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on BYD vehicles while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will follow manufacturer guidelines, ensure first-time-right repairs, conduct vehicle inspections, and support EV-related reporting. The role includes adhering to workshop safety, 5S, and productivity targets in a fast-paced service environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent technical qualification in automotive trades.
• 2–3 years of experience as Automotive, Diagnostic, or General Repair Technician.
• EV or hybrid vehicle experience is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Carry out maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on BYD vehicles

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on BYD vehicles
• Perform repairs in line with EV safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
• Ensure Fix It Right and First-Time-Right repair standards are achieved
• Conduct vehicle inspections and support Electronic Vehicle Check reporting
• Follow workshop safety, quality, and 5S standards
• Meet productivity and utilization targets

Experience Required:

• 2–3 years of experience as an Automotive, Diagnostic, or General Repair Technician
• Experience in vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work
• EV or hybrid vehicle experience is an advantage

Education Qualifications:

• Diploma, ITI, NCVT, ITC, or equivalent technical qualification

Skills Required:

• Strong technical and mechanical skills
• Good understanding of automotive systems and repair processes
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
• Ability to follow workshop manuals and service procedures
• Good communication skills in English
• Passion for learning new technologies and EV systems
• UAE driving license is an advantage
