Aon plc in Jakarta, Indonesia is seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead our Construction, Power & Infrastructure team. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work both remotely and from the office, with responsibility for client servicing, policy renewals, quotations, placements and documentation.

You will manage lender insurance requirements, liaise with clients and insurers, contribute to new business and pipeline development, and support budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

Formación

• 7–10+ years of relevant experience in insurance broking, underwriting, or risk advisory.
• Hold relevant insurance broking certifications and licences per Indonesian regulations.
• Proven track record managing corporate insurance accounts and renewals.
• Strong client relationship, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Assistant Vice President

We’re hiring! We are looking for an Assistant Vice President to join our Construction, Power & Infrastructure (CPI) team in Jakarta, Indonesia. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from the office.

What the day will look like

Client Servicing & Broking

• Manage day-to-day servicing of assigned CPI clients.
• Handle policy renewals, endorsements, quotations, placement activities and policy documentation.
• Liaise with clients, insurers, reinsurers and lenders on insurance matters.
• Manage lender insurance requirements and documentation, including projects involving overseas lenders.
• Review policy wordings and ensure accurate coverage placement and documentation.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations and site surveys where required.

Placement & Business Development

• Understand insurance and reinsurance structures, placement processes and market practices.
• Work with the reinsurance and placement teams to develop solutions for renewals and new business opportunities.
• Support tender submissions, renewal presentations and client proposals.
• Contribute to new business acquisition, project expansions and pipeline development.
• Maintain opportunities, lead lists and business pipelines within Aon Connect.

Financial & Administration

• Prepare pre-invoices and supporting documentation and ensure timely issuance to clients.
• Monitor premium collections and follow up outstanding payments with clients and Finance.
• Manage credit control activities for assigned accounts.
• Support CPI forecasting, budgeting and revenue tracking.
• Maintain accurate client records and filing systems in accordance with company procedures.
• Complete monthly time tracking and other reporting requirements.

Compliance & Operational Excellence

• Ensure activities comply with Aon policies, operational procedures and local regulatory requirements.
• Maintain complete and accurate client documentation, including policy files and File Check Lists.
• Use approved templates, collateral and documentation in line with company standards.
• Complete all mandatory compliance and corporate training requirements.
• Uphold Aon's values and professional standards in all dealings with clients, insurers and colleagues.

Teamwork & Collaboration

• Work closely with EMC, Specialty, regional broking and business development teams to deliver client solutions.
• Support knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams.
• Demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced broking environment.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in insurance broking, underwriting, placement or risk advisory, preferably within the Energy, Mining, Construction, Power or Infrastructure sectors.
• Holds the relevant insurance broking certifications and licences required by OJK and applicable Indonesian insurance regulations, or is able to obtain and maintain such certifications.
• Demonstrated experience managing corporate insurance accounts, renewals and placement activities within the Energy, Mining, Construction, Power or Infrastructure sectors.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, policy structures, placement processes, reinsurance arrangements and insurance market practices.
• Strong client relationship management, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, organisational and administrative skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced broking environment and collaborate across local, regional and global teams.
