Job description
Role Objective: To ensurethe continued airworthiness, reliability, safety, and operational efficiency ofaircraft systems by assessing regulatory requirements and technicalmodifications, supporting maintenance and overhaul programs, providingtechnical expertise for operational issues, and collaborating withmanufacturers, service providers, and internal stakeholders. The role isresponsible for driving continuous improvement in maintenance practices,service quality, and aircraft reliability while ensuring compliance withregulatory and organizational standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Efficientlyco-ordinate with other departments regarding Technical Projects to achieve highquality technical standards acceptable to airworthiness authority and thecompany.
- ReviewsADs, SBs, modifications, reliability issues, and maintenance programs relatedto assigned aircraft systems.
- Maintaining a database of information / history relevant toeach aircraft and its systems/components that includes modification data.
- Establishand or enforce compliance of applicable rules, policies and procedures andensure HSE Policies are complied with and recommended updates accordingly.
- Reviews andcoordinate proposal preparations, statements of work and specifications, estimation of product/service costs, negotiation and administration ofcontracts thereby supporting Manager Technical Services to arrive at the bestoption and undertake necessary action steps.
- Oversee andmanage the maintenance, inspection, and modification of aircraft systems,including hydraulics, pneumatics, landing gear, fuel, air conditioning, flightcontrols, and water/waste.
- Develop andimplement maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations,manufacturer recommendations, and airworthiness requirements.
- Providesengineering support for system malfunctions, component reliability, andoverhaul programs.
- Leadinvestigations into any issues with aircraft systems, ensuring accurate rootcause analysis and timely resolution.
- Coordinatewith engineering teams and external vendors to source parts, tools, andequipment necessary for repairs or modifications.
- Ensure thatall maintenance and modification activities are documented accurately andcomply with regulatory and company requirements.
- Maintainand update technical records, including inspection reports, service bulletins,and maintenance logs.
- Contributeto the development of aircraft maintenance programs related to aircraftsystems, ensuring they are aligned with fleet requirements and operationalgoals.
- Monitor andensure that scheduled maintenance related to aircraft systems is completed ontime, minimizing aircraft downtime and maximizing fleet availability.
- Liaise withother departments, including Maintenance, Operations, and Procurement, toensure smooth execution of maintenance activities.
- Communicatewith external suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely supply of parts andservices for related aircraft systems.
- Providetechnical advice and support to the team, ensuring they are equipped with theknowledge and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Developing,reviewing, and maintaining Technical Notices (TN) and ensure timelydissemination of information.
- Identifyareas for improvement in maintenance procedures and contribute to theimplementation of solutions that enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Participatein training programs to stay updated on the latest technical developments,tools, and regulations in the field of aircraft systems.
- Carry outany other task as and when directed by Manager Technical Services.
Requirements
- Graduate in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
- Strongexperience with aircraft inspection, repair, and modification.
