Job summary

Salam Air seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform servicing, inspections and related tasks in accordance with approved maintenance data and company procedures. You will assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers with arrivals, departures, inspections and troubleshooting, while ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering or completion of basic training Part-147.
  • 2 years apprenticeship in airline engineering base or line maintenance area.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out aircraft maintenance servicing inspection and related activities in accordance with approved maintenance data and company procedures.
  • Assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers with arrivals, departures, inspections, transit checks, walk-around inspections, defect troubleshooting, rectification and other approved maintenance activities.
  • Operate and utilize specialized aircraft maintenance equipment, test equipment, ground support equipment and tooling safely and effectively for inspection, testing, servicing and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are operated safely, maintained in good working condition, and are serviceable and calibrated where applicable.
  • Record maintenance delays, incidents and other relevant occurrences on prescribed forms and report to the Engineer – Aircraft Line Maintenance.

Job description

  • Carry out aircraft maintenance servicing inspection and related activities in accordance with approved maintenance data company procedures and instructions from the Licensed Aircraft Engineer
  • Assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers with aircraft arrival and departure inspections transit checks walk-around inspections defect troubleshooting rectification and other approved maintenance activities
  • Operate and utilize specialized aircraft maintenance equipment test equipment ground support equipment and tooling effectively and safely as required for inspection testing servicing component replacement and maintenance activities
  • Ensure all tools equipment and ground support equipment are operated correctly and safely and maintained in good working and serviceable condition
  • Maintain proper control and accountability of all tools and equipment used during maintenance activities ensuring they are serviceable properly calibrated where applicable and within the required inspection and certification validity
  • Immediately report any safety hazard maintenance error incident accident aircraft damage or other reportable occurrence to the responsible Licensed Aircraft Engineer or supervisor and complete the required occurrence or incident reports
  • Ensure adequate pre-work preparation is completed including the availability of required tools equipment materials and maintenance documentation to support safe and efficient work execution
  • Comply with all applicable Airport Authority rules company procedures policies regulations and operational requirements
  • Record all maintenance delays incidents accidents and other relevant occurrences on the prescribed forms and submit them to the Engineer u2013 Aircraft Line Maintenance for appropriate action
  • Attend and successfully complete all required recurrent continuation competency safety and technical training in accordance with company requirements and applicable regulatory standards
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness security safety and serviceability of aircraft maintenance areas workshops equipment tools and maintenance vehicles
  • Ensure full compliance with Airport Authority requirements company procedures and regulations and Health Safety and Environment HSE policies to maintain a safe working environment throughout the assigned shift
  • Perform any other maintenance-related duties and responsibilities assigned by the immediate supervisor or management within the scope of the position applicable procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering or completion of basic training Part-147. 2 years apprenticeship in airline engineering base or line maintenance area.
