To lead anddeliver complex, high-value aircraft and engineering-related projects acrossthe airline’s fleet lifecycle, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effectiveexecution of heavy maintenance events, aircraft transitions, Entry Into Serviceprograms, End-of-Lease returns, ACMI inductions, and fleet modificationinitiatives. The role exists to ensure aircraft are delivered, maintained,modified, and transitioned in line with regulatory requirements, contractualobligations, and operational readiness standards, while minimizing downtime andoptimizing fleet availability.
Duties andResponsibilities:
- Lead and manage aircraft engineering and fleet-related projects frominitiation through completion.
- Coordinate and oversee the BFE selection and procurement process byworking closely with user departments and the Technical Materials Department,ensuring that all equipment meets operational and technical requirements, andthat procurement and delivery activities are completed in accordance withproject schedules and program objectives.
- Manage all routine and non-routine checks including regular WP, enginechange, fuel nozzle change, modification tasks.
- Interface directly with relevant departments to effectively managecontractual obligations, including negotiating amendments arising from designmodifications or schedule changes, resolving any contractual disputes, andensuring the successful and formal closure of contracts upon projectcompletion.
- Review, coordinate, and support the preparation of proposals, statementsof work, technical specifications, cost estimates, and contract negotiationactivities to assist the Director of Engineering in evaluating options,selecting the most suitable solutions, and determining appropriate actions.
- Act as the key liaison between internal stakeholders and externalparties regarding aircraft specifications, build configuration, and productionprocesses to ensure effective communication, coordination, and timelyresolution of project-related matters.
- Oversee contracted heavy maintenance activities, including C-Checks,structural inspections, cabin refurbishment programs, aircraft painting, andother major maintenance events.
- Coordinate with contracted MRO organizations to ensure successfulplanning, execution, and redelivery of aircraft undergoing heavy maintenance.
- Manage aircraft hangar induction and redelivery processes while ensuringadherence to schedules, budgets, quality requirements, and regulatorystandards.
- Monitor project milestones, maintenance findings, and work scopechanges, implementing corrective actions when required.
- Manage Entry Into-Service (EIS) programs for newly acquired aircraft byoverseeing acceptance activities, technical records review, modifications,certifications, crew readiness, spare provisioning, and operationalintegration.
- Ensure that all required paperwork and documentation are properlygenerated, controlled, and cleared in accordance with approved proceduresbefore releasing the aircraft for service.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of technical records, publications,and documentation for the entire fleet. Oversee the maintenance of manuals,bulletins, and logbooks to comply with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Lead End-of-Lease aircraft return projects, ensuring compliance withlease return conditions and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate aircraft inspections, records reviews, maintenance actions,and redelivery activities with lessors and technical representatives.
- Manage induction of short-term wet lease (ACMI) aircraft, includingtechnical acceptance, regulatory approvals, operational integration, and project coordination across all departments.
- Support aircraft acquisitions, lease transitions, and fleetphase-in/phase-out activities.
- Plan and manage implementation of aircraft modifications, upgrades, andfleet enhancement initiatives.
- Coordinate with OEMs, design organizations, engineering teams,suppliers, and regulatory authorities for modification approvals andimplementation.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that clearly define project scope,objectives, timelines, milestones, budgets, resource requirements, andexecution strategies, while ensuring effective allocation and utilization of resources throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively identify, assess, and monitor project risks and potentialchallenges that may impact project performance, and develop appropriatemitigation and contingency strategies to minimize operational disruptions,schedule delays, and financial exposure.
- Ensure that all project deliverables are completed in accordance withthe defined technical specifications, applicable regulatory standards, safetyrequirements, quality expectations, and commercial obligations, whilemaintaining compliance with organizational policies and industry bestpractices.
- Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, technical reviews, progressdiscussions, and stakeholder engagement activities to ensure effectivecommunication, timely decision-making, alignment of project objectives, andsuccessful resolution of issues throughout the project execution phase.
- Represent Salam Air as a technical representative in meetings with aircraft manufacturers and industry operators, ensuring effectivereview of the project progress and lives?y resolution…; etc?

Requirements
- Graduate in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Electrical Engineering, oralternatively Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license ICAO type II.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in the aviation industry, includingat least 5 years in leading technical projects.
