As a Systems Engr I here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency across various industries.

Job Summary

• Support testing and commissioning of ICT active network, passive network, and audio-visual systems.
• Assist in engineering activities, system configuration, site coordination, and handover.
• Review drawings, schedules, technical documents, and approved project requirements.
• Coordinate with site teams, vendors, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
• Ensure systems are delivered as per approved design, project specifications, and testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, BOQ, drawings, network architecture, AV layouts, and system schedules.
• Study ICT active network, passive network, and audio-visual system scope and requirements.
• Support preparation and review of shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents.
• Review structured cabling layouts, rack elevations, fiber routes, copper schedules, network diagrams, and AV schematics.
• Assist in defining active network requirements, including switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, VLANs, IP addressing, and network services.
• Assist in defining passive network requirements, including copper cabling, fiber cabling, patch panels, ODFs, racks, cabinets, labeling, and containment coordination.
• Assist in defining AV requirements, including displays, speakers, microphones, amplifiers, DSP, matrix switchers, control systems, and room AV integration.
• Support system configuration for ICT active network and audio-visual platforms.
• Configure and test network switches, access points, IP devices, AV processors, DSP units, control panels, and related system components.
• Coordinate passive network installation, termination, labeling, patching, cable management, and rack dressing activities.
• Coordinate integration with servers, CCTV, access control, BMS, IPTV, meeting room systems, wireless systems, and other third‑party platforms.
• Support installation inspections, device checks, cable checks, rack readiness, containment readiness, and power/network availability.
• Conduct testing and commissioning activities for active network, passive network, and audio-visual systems.
• Perform copper testing, fiber testing, OTDR testing, network connectivity testing, wireless testing, AV functional testing, and integrated system testing.
• Troubleshoot cabling, patching, IP addressing, VLAN, device, switch, wireless, AV signal, audio, video, and control system issues.
• Prepare testing records, inspection reports, punch lists, configuration backups, commissioning documents, and handover files.
• Follow up MIR, WIR, inspections, site comments, and corrective actions with project teams.
• Coordinate daily site activities with engineers, technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning teams.
• Support client demonstrations, consultant inspections, room testing, system acceptance, and final handover activities.
• Prepare as‑built inputs, O&M manual inputs, test sheets, training support documents, and asset records.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality procedures, ICT standards, AV standards, and HSE rules.

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer, Network, IT, or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in ICT active network, passive network, audio‑visual, ELV, or low‑current systems.
• Hands‑on experience in testing and commissioning of ICT network and audio‑visual systems.
• Familiarity with engineering activities, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Basic to good knowledge of active network systems, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, VLANs, IP addressing, and network troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of passive network systems, including structured cabling, copper testing, fiber testing, OTDR testing, patch panels, ODFs, racks, cabinets, and labeling standards.
• Knowledge of audio‑visual systems, including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, amplifiers, DSP, matrix switchers, video conferencing, and room control systems.
• Experience in device configuration, network setup, AV setup, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning documentation.
• Familiarity with integration to CCTV, access control, BMS, IPTV, meeting room systems, servers, wireless systems, and third‑party systems.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, rack elevations, network diagrams, AV layouts, cable schedules, and system topology.
• Experience in site inspections, MIR/WIR follow‑up, punch list closure, and handover documentation.
• Good troubleshooting skills for cabling, communication, network, wireless, AV signal, audio, video, and control issues.
• Good communication, coordination, reporting, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with project quality procedures, safety requirements, and site execution practices.
• CCNA, BICSI, FOA, CTS, or manufacturer certification in networking, structured cabling, or AV systems is an advantage.
