Job summary

gu-recruitment is seeking a Mine Technical Superintendent to lead mine operations by developing short-, mid- and long-term plans and coordinating with exploration, geology, metallurgical, logistics and support teams to optimize production.

You will monitor progress against the Mine Schedule and KPIs, implement groundwater management and de-watering plans, and design drill-and-blast and ground-control programs to maximise productivity and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in the mining industry with 5+ years in a technical superintendent role.
• Proven ability to develop and implement mine plans and drill/blast design.
• Experience with HSE compliance and safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop operational plans and lead short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans.
• Coordinate with exploration, geology, metallurgical, and logistics teams.
• Monitor progress against the Mine Schedule and KPIs.
• Develop groundwater management and de-watering plans.
• Design drill and blast and ground control programs to optimise productivity.
• Foster safety culture and lead team development and performance.
