Oman Housing Bank is seeking a Senior Engineer – T24 Core Banking to ensure stability, availability, and performance of the Core Banking System. You will provide technical and functional support, manage configurations, and assist with deployments to minimize disruption and support business continuity.

The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external vendors, adherence to security standards, and participation in SIT, UAT, COB, and production validations to deliver reliable banking

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant IT or banking technology.
• Minimum 5 years in Core Banking system implementation or support.
• Hands-on experience with Temenos Transact (T24) or comparable platform.
• Understanding of retail banking operations and GL concepts.
• Experience in incident, change, and production support processes.

The Sr. Engineer – T24 Core Banking System ensures the stability, availability, performance, and effective operation of the Bank's Core Banking System through technical support, system maintenance, configuration, and continuous improvement. He/She provides technical and functional support, resolves production incidents, manages system configurations, and supports system enhancements, integrations, and deployments to ensure operational efficiency and business continuity.

The role supports the Bank's technology transformation by maintaining reliable Core Banking operations, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with established technology standards, security requirements, and operational procedures.

Key Accountabilities:

• Provides Level 2 and Level 3 technical and functional support for the Bank's Core Banking System, ensuring timely resolution of production incidents and service requests.
• Monitors and maintains the availability, stability, and performance of the Core Banking System to ensure operational continuity and reliable banking services.
• Investigates, troubleshoots, and resolves system incidents, performs root cause analysis, and implements corrective and preventive measures to minimize recurring issues.
• Supports, monitors, and enhances the Close of Business (COB) processes to ensure accurate and timely completion of daily banking operations.
• Configures, maintains, and enhances banking products, system parameters, workflows, and business rules in accordance with approved business and operational requirements.
• Gathers and analyzes business requirements and translates them into functional specifications, system configurations, and technical solutions.
• Supports Core Banking System implementations, upgrades, migrations, integrations, and enhancement initiatives to ensure successful delivery and minimal business disruption.
• Participates in System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and production validation to ensure system functionality and reliability.
• Coordinates with internal Technology teams, business users, vendors, and external service providers to support system enhancements, technical issue resolution, and operational requirements.
• Develops and maintains operational and management reports, data extracts, and system information to support business operations, reporting requirements, and management decision-making.
• Supports Operations and Back Office functions by providing technical assistance, data analysis, and system-related solutions to address operational requirements.
• Maintains system documentation, configuration records, technical procedures, and incident resolution information to support effective system management and knowledge sharing.
• Identifies opportunities to improve Core Banking System performance, automate operational activities, and strengthen service reliability.
• Ensures compliance with the Bank's technology policies, information security standards, change management procedures, regulatory requirements, and operational controls.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Banking Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Core Banking System implementation, application support, system configuration, or maintenance, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
• Hands‑on experience with Temenos Transact (T24) or a comparable Core Banking platform such as Finacle, Oracle FLEXCUBE, or TCS BaNCS.
• Strong understanding of retail banking operations, including Customer Management, Accounts, Deposits, Loans, and Payments.
• Good understanding of General Ledger, accounting principles, and financial transaction processing within Core Banking Systems.
• Experience in Core Banking System configurations, product parameterization, system enhancements, and application integrations.
• Experience in incident management, problem management, change management, and production support processes.
• Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), System Integration testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression testing methodologies.
• Experience supporting Close of Business (COB) processes, system upgrades, and production deployments.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
