Job summary

Gulf Talent Solutions L.L.C-FZ in Muscat, Oman, seeks a highly organized Sole Accountant & Billing Officer to manage accounting functions and legal billing operations. You will prepare financial reports, handle payroll, invoicing, and ensure VAT compliance within Oman.

The role requires 6–8+ years in accounting or finance administration, experience in professional services, and strong Excel and accounting software skills, with fluency in English and Arabic preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent are an advantage
• Minimum 6-8 years+ of experience in accounting, billing, or finance administration
• Experience in a law firm, consulting firm, or professional services environment is preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, invoicing, and receivables management
• Knowledge of VAT regulations and financial reporting requirements in Oman
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills
• Strong communication and follow-up abilities
• Fluency in English; preferably native Arabic speaker

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Process payroll and staff reimbursements
• Prepare and issue client invoices
• Follow up on outstanding payments and aging reports
• Reconcile client accounts and billing records
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Coordinate with lawyers and partners regarding billing matters and fee collections
