Job summary

Oman Investment Authority seeks a senior leader to head Transmission Operations & Maintenance, establishing policies and maintenance plans for the power grid. You will drive strategic alignment with asset management, monitor safety, quality, and environmental impacts, and manage staff and budgets for efficient, cost-effective operations.

You will develop and enforce SOPs, supervise maintenance plans, and coordinate with regional managers and vendors to ensure high reliability and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electric Utility Engineering & Management.
• Master's degree in Electrical Power Systems, Power Engineering, Engineering Management, or MBA is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct Transmission Operations & Maintenance by establishing policies and SOPs to ensure peak performance.
• Provide input on functional strategies and align maintenance activities with asset management goals.
• Propose budgets for transmission operations and maintenance to the COO; monitor and manage OPEX and CAPEX.
• Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and ISO 55001 / ISO 14001 standards.
• Coordinate with Regional Managers; manage vendor evaluations and contract negotiations for the transmission sector.
• Oversee reporting of maintenance incidents and KPI tracking to ensure reliability and safety.
