Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking an experienced EHS Senior Engineer to lead safety management across Power Transmission & Distribution construction projects in Oman. You will ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, Omani regulations, and international best practices, driving proactive risk management.

The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor's in Engineering or Science, NEBOSH IGC, 8–12 years in construction EHS, and strong skills in auditing, investigations, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science required.
• NEBOSH IGC mandatory; additional HSE certifications preferred.
• Minimum 8–12 years of EHS experience in construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor project-specific EHS plans and risk controls.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, client specs, and EHS systems.
• Conduct site inspections, hazard identifications and risk assessments.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor safety performance of contractors and subcontractors.
• Organize toolbox talks, safety campaigns, inductions, and trainings.
• Review permits, method statements, and JHAs before execution.
• Track EHS KPIs and prepare periodic reports for management and clients.
• Coordinate emergency drills and resource readiness.
• Promote environmental protection, waste management and conservation.
