Job summary

Tanqeeb in Oman seeks an experienced Estimation Lead to manage the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions for utilities, infrastructure, and civil projects. You will coordinate with engineering, planning, procurement, and project teams to develop competitive, compliant proposals and support pricing strategies.

The role requires 8–12 years in estimation/tendering, strong knowledge of estimation software and market rate analysis, and proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and Primavera.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• 8–12 years of experience in estimation and tendering within utilities, infrastructure, or heavy civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of estimation software, pricing methodologies, and market rate analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and Primavera (for BOQ/time correlation).
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with Omani construction market, cost structures, and local suppliers/subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the preparation of accurate cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to develop competitive proposals.
• Support management in pricing strategies and value engineering to secure new business opportunities.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQ to identify scope, requirements, and risks.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Coordinate with procurement for material quotations and supplier comparisons.
• Liaise with subcontractors to obtain competitive prices and technical compliance.
• Evaluate technical addenda, clarifications, and pre-bid queries.
• Support tender summaries, cost breakdowns, and commercial evaluations.
• Ensure estimates comply with company policies, project specs, and client requirements.
