Job summary

Aramco seeks a Plant Corrosion Engineer to join the Tanajib Gas Plant Department. The role focuses on implementing corrosion management programs, RBI-based inspections, and ensuring the mechanical integrity of assets through coatings, CP, and material strategies across life cycles.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in gas processing, strong knowledge of API/NACE/ASTM standards, and proven asset-integrity program experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or Corrosion Science from a recognized program.
• 10 years of experience in Gas processing, material science, metrology, NDT tech, and welding engineering.

Responsibilities

• Implement corrosion management program and on-stream monitoring.
• Conduct RBI based on API-580 methodology.
• Review and approve coatings failures and cathodic protection solutions.
• Validate corrosion controls, corrosion loops and damage mechanisms.
• Assess feed composition changes and approve solutions to assure asset integrity.
• Develop scope and description of technology items and lead field implementation.
• Transfer knowledge on coatings, CP, corrosion inhibitors and other corrosion controls.
• Extract data and draw conclusions from corrosion monitoring technologies.
• Troubleshoot corrosion problems and address root causes.
• Review design packages for plant changes addressing corrosion and material challenges.
• Explore new materials development and deploy advanced material applications.
