Responsible for material engineering selection for various projects ensuring cost-effectiveness and fit for the job.
Develop corrosion control plans and mitigation strategies as well as inspection and monitoring plans.
Perform coating qualifications and procedures, including reviewing and writing documents.
Review material databases, manage documents, review data, and recommend actions.
Prepare materials and welding qualification and procedures including PQRs and WPSs.
Perform material examinations, testing, and NDT inspections with specific assurance to compliance with company recognized industry standards.
Conduct coating qualification and selection for the particular service environment.
Support integrity programs like Risk Based Inspections and Process Safety Programs and ensure project compliance with company standards.
Ensure compliance to HSE and QA/QC plans as part of design and material engineering selection.
Implement and qualify HSE requirements falling under area of responsibility.
Manage staff and third‑party activities, developing local young engineers and providing development programs.
BSc Engineering degree.
Minimum 12 years of experience in a relevant position.
Skills with industry materials types, limitations, optimum usage and their performance.
Ability to recommend cost‑effective selections based on performance history and project application.
