Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Senior Site Engineer - Mechanical to lead on-site installation, inspection, and coordination for Closed/Open Cycle Gas Turbine projects in Muscat. You will ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and project specs while collaborating with PMs to hit milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering experience on power generation projects.
• Experience with Closed/Open Cycle Gas Turbine Projects and substations.
• Proven leadership and project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers to develop mechanical project plans and schedules.
• Ensure timely completion of mechanical milestones within budget.
• Review and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Supervise on-site installation of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical technicians and support staff.
• Establish robust quality control procedures for mechanical work.
• Guarantee safety compliance and investigate incidents or near misses.
• Manage the mechanical project budget, including cost estimation and control.
