Job summary

Green Umbrella Recruitment seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead wind turbine generator erection activities in Muscat, Oman. You will supervise erection, lifting, and installation while coordinating with subcontractors and multi-disciplinary teams on safety, quality, and schedule.

The role requires 8–10 years in industrial construction with wind project experience, a degree in mechanical engineering, and English proficiency (B2/C1).

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• English proficiency B2/C1; ability to work in remote locations and rotational assignments.
• Wind industry certifications and GWO training are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority for WTG erection and supervise unloading, storage, assembly and installation.
• Coordinate crane operations and heavy lifts for tower sections, nacelles, hubs and blades.
• Manage subcontractors and interfaces with civil, electrical and commissioning teams.
• Support mechanical completion, punch-list clearance and handover.
• Construction and project management: look-ahead planning, resource allocation and reporting.
