Job summary

OQ in Oman is seeking a Sr/ Engineer Mechanical Rotating to provide expert support for rotating equipment across maintenance, projects, and commissioning. You will review designs, perform root cause analysis, and drive reliability improvements in a refinery/petrochemical context.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, 6–8 years of experience in Oil & Gas, and fluent English. On-site duties in Sohar with collaboration across engineering and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert for mechanical engineering issues, guiding solutions for reliability and efficiency.
• Review engineering deliverables including design packages, specs, and reports.
• Provide troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution for critical mechanical equipment failures.
• Support major capital projects, maintenance activities, and turnarounds with timely mechanical input.
• Identify opportunities to improve asset reliability and performance.
