Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking an ECU MFG HW/SW Engineer to own software release management across engineering builds, manufacturing, sustaining and operations for in-house Low Voltage ECUs. You will coordinate releases, validate content, track status, and ensure accurate flashing information from development to production.

Collaborate with TPMs, SW and test engineers to implement release processes, manage multiple concurrent releases, and provide status updates to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE, CE or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in electronics to end customers.
• At least 5 years of experience in technical roles.
• Experience in the SW release process, SW testing, Jira, waterfall (Development), SCRUM, and build processes.
• Experience in high volume Consumer or Enterprise, with Automotive ECU experience a definite plus.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• ERP, Bug tracking and ECO/BOM systems experience (NetSuite, Jira, Arena, MKS, Smart Bear).
• Excellent communication skills (writing and oral)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sustaining activities by troubleshooting hardware-related issues affecting ECU flashing.
• Serve as the technical contact between in-house Low Voltage ECU team and Lucid Manufacturing teams.
• Establish and track SW releases, timing and content rollout per program plans.
• Coordinate software releases with business stakeholders.
• Manage in-house ECU SW release process with Test Team (MFG), Operations and Contact Manufacturers.
• Collaborate with TPMs and SW/test engineers to implement release management systems.
• Provide information requests (SW files location, flashing tools, traceability) for all builds and Production.
• Communicate status to management for all assigned programs.
• Review and sign off SW QUALs/PCRs/ECR/ECOs for ECUs.
• Manage multiple concurrent releases from development to production rollout.
• Oversee pre-release SW testing in Mfg Test lab, CM, and internal sites.
• Lead with stakeholders to achieve goals.
• Track open SW issues and drive resolution.
• Support HQ engineering during final verification of SW released to production.
