Job summary

Oman Refinery is seeking a Lead Engineer Electrical to provide advanced technical leadership in design analysis and integrity assurance for electrical systems across oil and gas facilities.

You will drive engineering excellence, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, API standards and local regulations throughout project lifecycles from concept to commissioning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience in upstream or downstream Oil & Gas facilities, brownfield and greenfield projects.
• Experience mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical review and approval of electrical designs, calculations, and specifications.
• Develop and maintain electrical standards, guidelines and design practices.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Perform power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination) using industry tools.
• Support hazardous area classifications and electrical safety compliance.
