Job summary

Total Safety EMEA in Oman seeks a qualified HSE Engineer to support a Brownfield Expansion Project in Sohar. The role is full-time and long-term, focusing on delivering safety strategies, risk assessments, and compliant reporting.

You will lead site inspections, audits, incident investigations, toolbox talks, and contractor HSE oversight, ensuring closure of findings and maintaining thorough documentation in line with client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Environmental, Safety, or Chemical) mandatory.
• NEBOSH IGC mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years total experience; minimum 5 years HSE experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee HSE engineering functions and implement advanced safety strategies.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments per client and regulatory standards.
• Develop HSE procedures, reports, and compliance tracking tools.
• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deliver toolbox talks and promote a strong HSE culture among all project stakeholders.
• Monitor contractor HSE performance and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Maintain accurate HSE documentation and reporting per client requirements.
