Job summary

ZL Chemicals in Oman is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee site execution on a DBOT polymer facility programme. You will provide rigorous oversight of EPC contractor construction, with focus on brownfield tie-ins, shutdowns and interface work near live infrastructure.

The role requires 15–20 years of relevant oil and gas experience, including at least 10 years leading on-site construction and commissioning across multiple projects, plus familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified with 15–20 years in oil & gas, incl. 10+ years leading site work and commissioning.
• Oversight of EPC contractor site execution from client/authority side, ensuring schedule, quality and HSE.
• Experience with brownfield tie-in, shutdowns, isolation works and PTW coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EPC contractor construction execution against plan, quality and schedule.
• Review and accept construction methodologies, site org and mobilisation plans.
• Chair progress and technical review meetings with contractor leadership; drive recovery as needed.
• Oversee brownfield tie-in, shutdown and isolation work; verify readiness before execution.
• Coordinate shutdowns and tie-ins with client Operations; ensure alignment of plans and JSAs.
• Ensure PTW, isolation certificates and MOC approvals are in place before interface work.
• Verify ITPs and witness special processes (welding, coating, NDE) per project quality.
• Manage material mgmt and site logistics; supervise handover to commissioning.
