Job summary

Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort in Oman is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Attendant to maintain high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas. You will follow the hotel's SOPs for cleaning, handle linen inventories, and ensure safety with proper chemical usage.

You will contribute to guest satisfaction by timely service, supporting VIP guests, managing lost and found items, and assisting with training and daily briefings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all Guest Rooms are properly cleaned at all times, in line with the hotel’s Standard Operating Procedures for cleaning these areas.
• Adhere to health & safety requirements, handling chemicals safely in Housekeeping.
• Ensure records are maintained for linen inventory, uniforms, and other items as applicable.
• Ensure that lost and found articles are processed properly and that the correct logs are maintained.
• Provides for cleanliness and maintenance of floor pantries, service area and floor trolleys.
• Provides for turn down service of guest rooms based on prescribed standards.
• Performs other duties assigned by superior
• Ensure that par levels of linen, towels and uniforms are current, and in line with inventory.
• Follow and recommend measures to minimize all wastage of materials and amenities are used in the department.
• Ensuring security awareness throughout the Hotel, reporting incidents to the appropriate Manager when warranted.
• Ensure VIP requirements are met
• Ensure all special requests are met, with particular reference to families visiting our resorts with children.
• Contributes positively to sales activities and maximize sales opportunities including being knowledgeable to hotel products, services and facilities
• Make room status reports.
• Attends departmental daily briefing, housekeeping communication meeting, and other training sessions
• Report any suspicious person, sleep outs, ‘Do Not Disturbs’ to housekeeping management

• Clean and take care of all working equipment used by himself / herself.
• Report any damage or loss in a guest room immediately after being found.
• Remove room service trays from room & place in service area.
• Contributes positively to sales activities and maximize sales opportunities including being knowledgeable to hotel products, services and facilities
• Make room status reports.
• Attends departmental daily briefing, housekeeping communication meeting, and other training sessions
• Report any suspicious person, sleep outs, ‘Do Not Disturbs’ to housekeeping management
