Job summary

Goodman Masson Oman is recruiting a Reconciliations Analyst for its financial markets infra project in Muscat. You will support daily cash and securities reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and maintain audit-ready records within an evolving control environment.

This is an early-career role in a greenfield post-trade platform, offering exposure to critical reconciliation processes and financial controls in a growing market infrastructure venture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.
• Experience in financial services, risk, financial control, operations control or reconciliations.
• Understanding of financial controls and accurate financial records.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies methodically to resolution.
• Numerical data, spreadsheets and financial information proficiency.
• Good organisation and deadline management.
• Clear written and verbal communication; cross-team collaboration.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Support daily cash reconciliations across currencies.
• Reconcile securities balances against instrument records.
• Investigate, document and track breaks to resolution.
• Work with settlement and operations teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain auditable reconciliation records and evidence.
• Monitor discrepancies and escalate weaknesses.
• Liaise with settlement banks to confirm balances.
• Maintain clear records of reconciliation activities and investigations.
• Contribute to improving reconciliation procedures and controls.
